BMW
Accessories!
For well
over a generation now, BMW’s have been an
important part of the American motoring
landscape. Sure, models from as far back as the
1960s still dot our roads, but it was the “3”
series from the 1980s that quickly distinguished
the Bavarian automaker from the pack. At that
time, not even
Mercedes had a model to match it and Asian
and American automakers were far from competing
against this heralded line of cars. Well beyond
the “3” series are a whole host of vehicles that
have helped transform
BMW into a major player and customizing a
BMW has never been more fun. Let’s take a look
at some great accessories for your cruiser.
So, what is
your favorite
BMW accessory? If you are like me,
you don’t have only one. A whole host of
accessories can transform your BMW, including:
Cold Air Intake
– Yes,
AEM cold air intakes and other brands
can rocket your bimmer faster than ever. With a
cool intake noise, a nifty look, and awesome
rocket-like performance, you can achieve more
power without gobbling up extra gas.
Car Bra
– Protect you hood and give your car a special
look with a custom fitted car bra. In a sea of
BMWs, the right car bra can give your car a
distinctive look that is both luxurious and
sporty.
Performance Exhaust
– Sure, this type of system can be expensive,
but it can also be the last exhaust system you
will ever need for your car. Realize strong
gains in horsepower and torque; keep your car’s
value up with a million mile warranted system
from a major manufacturer like
Borla.
Kleen Wheels
– Nothing looks worse on a 50 thousand dollar
car than a set of dirty wheels. How can you
avoid the problem? By installing Kleen Wheels
wheel protectors to protect both the tires and
your rims. While you are fooling around with the
wheels, snag some performance rotors for all
around better braking.
Floor Mats
– Why is it that a car so beautiful doesn’t
always come with floor mats? Sure, some dealers
will kick them in as an extra special deal
“sweetener” but you would almost think that they
are doing you a big favor. Besides, why not shop
for the
auto floor mats you really want? Opt only
for those that don’t curl on the sides or crack
easily.
Seat
Covers – Leather seats
cost a bundle to repair. Why risk having them
exposed to the elements every time someone drags
their wet person into your car? Spend a little
extra and get the seat covers that enhance the
look of your BMW, not detract from it.
Personally,
I am not a fan of every single possible
accessory or aftermarket part for BMWs.
Altezza tail lights look great on some cars,
but you already have the right
tail lights for your Euro cruiser. Better to
spend money on those parts that can bring out
the best in your BMW’s appearance without making
the car look overly done over.
